Today, mergers and acquisitions (M & A) activity is one of the most fundamental. It is, however, thought that the phenomenon occurred in the 20th century and M & A event is typical for commercial companies. We believe that this thought is wrong. Mergers and acquisitions have a rich history and held various human fields. Then what about the European Union? Probably, this alliance is friendly merger in the political world. M & A are considered a particular commercial strategy or the next step and further developments ~ ‘; marriage business or the result of the struggle for survival. It could be taken seriously important in two (or more) companies so it should be considered carefully. This document should be handled with the merger of Daimler and Chrysler in 1998, which was topical issue in business before.
Contemporary businesses seek to enable themselves to adapt more effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities. If the M & A is well done, M & A can increase revenue and market share, improve profitability and strengthen the company values.1 On the surface, the direction of merger and acquisition cannot really different because the result is the same: two companies (or more) who had separate ownerships are now operating under the same roof, usually for a strategic or financial. However, they are completely different at the end, in particular, it is said that the merger generally refers to two companies come together (usually through the exchange of shares) as peers to become one and a typically a corporate acquisition, the buyer, who buys the assets or shares of the seller, with the form of cash payment is, the buyer of the securities or other valuables to seller.2 The merger of Daimler manufacturers and Chrysler could be considered as merger of equals, at first glance.
